
The Sindh government has announced the launch of the Youth Citizen Journalism Program, which will begin on May 16 in Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, and Hyderabad. The initiative is aimed at providing specialized training for young individuals aged 18 to 29 in journalistic storytelling and reporting.
Provincial Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehar stated that the program is designed to equip youth with the skills necessary to effectively communicate their stories and experiences to a global audience. Through this initiative, the government seeks to create a new generation of socially aware journalists capable of highlighting community issues on an international platform.
The Youth Citizen Journalism Program is part of a broader effort to foster a culture of awareness and active engagement among the youth of Sindh. By offering training in various aspects of journalism, aims to create socially aware youth capable of highlighting community issues for a global audience.
Sardar Mehar emphasized that the program would also generate new employment opportunities in the field of media and digital content creation, allowing young people to actively participate in the digital world.
The program will be launched across the four key cities of Sindh—Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, and Hyderabad—starting on May 16.
