The Sindh High Court (SHC) imposed a ban on photography and video recording in courtrooms, corridors and waiting areas, allowing such activities only in a designated area for journalists.
According to a circular issued by the court on September 25, violations of the ban will result in legal action and the confiscation of mobile phones or recording equipment.
Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is an independent media documentation and training center, non-governmental organization committed to promoting and defending freedom of expression.
