
On July 6, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad Adeel Hussain Chandio visited the Hyderabad Press Club, where he was warmly welcomed by the club’s office bearers and governing body members.
Vice President of the Press Club, Ali Naeem, General Secretary Hameed-ur-Rehman, Joint Secretary Mujahid Aziz, Treasurer Jay Prakash, and members of the Governing Body including Junaid Khanzada, Iqbal Mallah, Muhammad Hussain Khan, Hamid Sheikh, Ahmed Khan Sheikh, Mansoor Marri, and Naveed Qaimkhani were present during the visit.
The SSP appreciated the role of the Hyderabad Press Club as an active platform working for the resolution of journalists’ issues and improving communication between the police and the media. He acknowledged the contribution of the Hyderabad media in highlighting civic issues, maintaining law and order, and supporting crime prevention efforts.
During the interaction, the SSP also shared details regarding the police department’s steps toward implementing people-friendly policing practices in the city. He stated that Hattri Police Station has been upgraded to a Model Police Station, while Sakhi Pir and City Police Stations are also planned to be given the same status within the current year.
The objective of establishing Model Police Stations is to strengthen community relations and improve public service delivery by the police.
