Supernet commissions wireless link in Punjab

KARACHI, August 11 2005: Supernet, the largest data network operator in the country and a wholly owned subsidiary of TeleCard, has commissioned a 62-Km long haul wireless link over Redline AN35 in Central Punjab for its corporate customers.

Redline AN35 is a product of Redline Communications of Canada, world leader in broadband wireless communications. This is the first time in Pakistan that a microwave radio link of this class has been commissioned for such a long distance and it would enable users to transmit mission critical data between factory and head office. Prior to commissioning of this link customers had to communicate via expensive dial-up links.
