Symposium on photojournalism from 15th

Sindh Ministry of Information has chalked out a programme to train the photo journalists for working in current situation in a way that avoids physical dangers for them. The training will be initially imparted in the districts in the interior Sindh and will spread to other areas after some time.

Shazia Marri, Sindh Minister for Information announced in a press conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC), which was held to inform the journalists about the five-day international symposium on photojournalism that will be held from November 15 to November 19. Marri, while acknowledging the instances of terrorism in the province, thought it was important to continue organising events at different cities and towns.

Seminars will be held on the first two days of the symposium at the Japan Cultural Centre and an international photo exhibition will be held during the remaining three days at Indus Valley School of Arts & Architecture. Photojournalists from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Japan, Nepal and Sri Lanka are taking part in the symposium.
