ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Saturday suspended LDI licence of Redtone Telecommunications for concealing minutes pertaining to the international incoming traffic.

Redtone had been issued a long distance and international (LDI) license under which the company was supposed to deposit access promotion contribution (APC) for Universal Service Fund on the total number of minutes of international incoming traffic.

The licence was suspended pursuant to the show-cause notice issued to the company on March 1. In its response, the company could not satisfy the authority during the hearing.
