TikTok, in partnership with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has officially launched its dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) feed in Pakistan.

The new feature offers a curated in-app experience focused on STEM-related content. It aims to promote critical thinking, spark curiosity, and improve access to digital learning for students, educators, and young professionals.

As part of the initiative, TikTok is collaborating with academic institutions across Pakistan to launch training programmes for teachers, educators, and instructors. These programmes are intended to help them create engaging and informative short-form STEM videos.

The platform is also working to grow Pakistan’s local STEM content creator community by offering training in English, Urdu, and regional languages. The goal is to establish a sustainable educational environment combining formal instruction with independent content creation.

“This effort is aimed at building a self-sustaining educational ecosystem where both formal educators and independent creators contribute to a shared mission: making STEM education fun, inclusive and discoverable,” said TikTok in a statement.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of IT and Telecommunication, said, “TikTok’s STEM feed is an excellent example of how technology can democratise access to knowledge and empower our youth, including aspiring female students.”

Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education, added, “We welcome the launch of TikTok’s dedicated STEM feed in Pakistan as a step toward making science and technology more accessible and relatable to our youth.
