SUKKUR: Two women were killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari in separate incidents near Jacobabad and in Shikarpur on Wednesday. The first incident took place in village Shahdad Brohi, in Maula Dad police station jurisdiction, near Jacobabad, in which Taj Bakht was shot dead by her husband Ghulam Mustafa Brohi on the pretext of Karo-Kari. Muhammad Gul, brother of the deceased woman, lodged an FIR with the area police, which arrested accused Mustafa and recovered a gun from his possession. The other incident took place in Nabi Shah Wagan town police station limits of Shikarpur, in which Mithan was shot dead by her nephew Mumtaz on the pretext of Karo-Kari. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
