Universities vow to share media skills

ISLAMABAD — A ceremony to sign the constitution of the Educational Broadcaster Forum (EBF) was held on Tuesday.

Rectors and vice chancellors of the universities of the twin cities pledged to share skills, information and programmes of FM radios among the universities and use them for the promotion of education.

Vice Chancellor Riphah International University Professor Dr. Anees Ahmad, Rector NUML Aziz Ahmad, Rector NUST Mohammad Asghar, President IIUI, Anwar Husain Sidiqui, Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah University, Saeeda Asadullah and Vice Chancellor of AIOU, Nazir Sanghi attended the event besides students and other officials of the universities. The remarked that in recent times the universities had introduced the element of media through FM broadcast predominantly as an academic activity. This growing phenomenon needs co-ordination among universities and institutions operating or planning the educational media.

The representatives of the universities said that the considering the overwhelming significance of the same educational media this initiative had been taken and educational broadcaster forum would address, strengthen and help promote a vibrant and constructive educational arena in the society across Pakistan.
