SUUKUR: Kandhkot police arrested a member of a gang of women traffickers and recovered a woman from his captivity during a raid on Dargah Qasim Shah in Kashmore on Saturday. DPO Kashmore Shahab Mazhar Bhalli said that acting on a tip-off that a gang involved in kidnapping women from the Punjab and selling them in Sindh had brought a kidnapped woman to the Katcha area of Kashmore for sale, a police team swooped on Dargah Qasim Shah and arrested Jamaluddin. The woman, Naheed, 30, was also recovered from his captivity. The DPO said the woman was kidnapped from the Chowk Thalla area near Rahimyar Khan and was brought to Kashmore for sale. He said an investigation was under way and raids would be conducted to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
