Civil Hospital Karachi appoints focal persons for journalists’ medical support following Medical Superintendent’s visit to KPC

Dr Khalid Bukhari, the Medical Superintendent of Dr Ruth K M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, recently visited the Karachi Press Club (KPC). During his visit, he met with KPC Secretary Muhammad Aslam Khan and other notable club members including Maqsood Yousafi, Saeed Sarbazi, Arif Baloch, and Health Committee Secretary Tufail Ahmed.

The meeting’s primary agenda was to address the healthcare challenges faced by club members and the broader journalists’ community. Both Aslam Khan and Tufail Ahmed briefed Dr Bukhari on the specific health-related issues journalists encounter.

On this occasion, Khan highlighted the vital role journalists play as society’s eyes and ears, emphasising the need for adequate healthcare support for them and their families. He commended Civil Hospital Karachi’s ongoing support and expressed gratitude to Dr Bukhari for his commitment to enhancing medical services for journalists.

In response, Dr Bukhari reassured the attendees of the hospital’s continued support and announced the appointment of two focal persons at Civil Hospital Karachi. These individuals will maintain a direct line of communication with the press club and assist with any medical issues journalists face.
