The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on September 30 granted pre-arrest bail to former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Kamran Bangash in the Radio Pakistan Peshawar attack case.

A bench headed by Chief Justice S.M. Atiq Shah heard the petition, while Barrister Zafar and Advocate Inam Yousafzai represented Bangash. His counsel told the court that Bangash had been implicated in the case and feared arrest.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Shah questioned Yousafzai about his continued representation of Bangash after his dismissal from the Advocate General’s Office. Yousafzai said the dismissal was linked to allegations that officials were removed for refusing to comply with extortion demands.
