On September 10, Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media Fahd Haroon met journalists at his office to discuss the evolving digital media landscape, including emerging opportunities, changing media dynamics and challenges posed by fake news and misinformation.

Haroon highlighted the growing influence of digital platforms on public discourse and stressed the importance of responsible journalism and dissemination of credible information.

He also emphasised Pakistan’s digital transformation as an opportunity for economic growth, innovation and employment, particularly for young people.

Representatives of media organisations, including Dawn and the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), shared views on the future of digital journalism.
