Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari filed a defamation suit against journalist Tariq Mateen and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) leader and social media activist Shahbaz Gill under Section 11 of the Punjab Defamation Act, 2024.
The suit seeks the removal of allegedly defamatory social media content, along with compensatory damages and other legal relief.
The legal documents state that the content harmed Bokhari’s reputation, integrity and professional standing.
