KARACHI: Unidentified culprits robbed computers and records from the office of National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) in Shah Faisal Colony No 2 within the limits of Shah Faisal Colony police station, it was learnt on Monday.

Police officials said that the robbery was disclosed when the staffers arrived at the office in the morning, indicating that the crime took place between Saturday and Sunday night. “The culprits entered the office by cutting the grill,” said Shah Faisal police station Head Muhrer Khalil. “In night timings, the office had no guard but the personnel of the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh were deputed as per routine just close to the office, but they were unaware of the incident when they were asked about it.” The officer suspected that any shopkeeper involved in the computer business might be behind the incident.

However, the police have registered an FIR No 280/10 on the complaint of NADRA employee, Niaz Hussain against unidentified persons and started further investigation.
