On June 29, Geo News shared that it has been the target of repeated hacking attempts over the past 10 days. These attempts have focused on compromising the organisation’s websites and social media platforms to upload unauthorised content chosen by the hackers.

The digital team at Geo News has actively countered these threats and successfully foiled several attacks. The organisation reported the issue to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), seeking measures to prevent the uploading of any unauthorised content and to address the situation promptly.

In response to these cyber threats, Geo News has also initiated legal proceedings.
