ISLAMABAD- The International Islamic University (IIU) will provide advance-training facilities in computer and other information technology (IT) related fields.
This was stated by the president of the university, Dr Hasan Mahmood Abdul Latif Al-Shafie, while speaking to the participants of a recently concluded computer course.
The course was arranged by the International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE) and attended by IIU staff members and bankers.
Dr Shafie said: “We are living in the age of globalization and are confronted by the invasion of latest technologies.”
He added that the university was well aware of the needs of the hour and had arranged a number of latest computer courses for its employees and students to enable them to meet the contemporary challenges.
He lauded the students for their extra curricular activities and announced to support all such practices, which played an important role in the smooth functioning of the institution.
Speaking at the occasion, the IlIE director general, Dr Abdul Rahman Yousri said the institute would continue its march towards modernization. The coordinator of the computer courses, Shakeel Ahmed Shah informed the audience that two more courses were being introduced September this year.
