SARGODHA: The Lahore High Court Election Tribunal on Friday disqualified PML-N MPA Rizwan Gill for having a fake degree while ordered a case against him and the person who appeared in his place in the BA/BSC examination held under the Punjab University.

Justice Azmat Saeed of the Lahore High Court had reserved the judgment on the petition of the runner-up candidate Dr Nadia Aziz last Friday. Dr Nadia Aziz told The News that the Punjab University Controller Office had declared his degree fake, stating that another person had appeared in the examination in his place.

Meanwhile, Rizwan Gill has announced to move the Supreme court against the LHC verdict. He said that he had not committed any fraud and he himself had passed the examination. Sources said the PML-N was angry with Gill who contacted Governor Salmaan Taseer after the Punjab chief minister admonished him over some issue.
