Mobile internet services in Quetta were suspended once again on April 6, a day after being briefly restored, following an earlier shutdown on April 2.

The interruption has impacted residents including students, businesses, and professionals who depend on mobile connectivity. The disruption comes amid ongoing protests led by Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Akhtar Mengal against the arrest of Mahrang Baloch. According to Samaa TV, the government has attributed the suspensions to security threats.

Services were initially suspended on April 2 and were restored on April 5.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rashid confirmed the restoration of services after the earlier suspension, adding that mobile and internet services had been suspended due to security concerns.
