Karachi: The Media Coordinator to Sindh Government, Taj Haider, has said that latest technology in the field of journalism is the need of the hour and that photojournalism in Pakistan be promoted in an effective manner.
This he said while talking to a delegation of Japanese and Pakistani photo journalists here in his office on Saturday.
Yasuo Sakuma, Naoko Sakuma, Hasuka Sakuma, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Azmat Ataka, Jahangir Khan, Asif and Ameen Rangoon Wala were included in the delegation.
While welcoming the Japanese Photo Journalists, Haider said, “We could get benefits while exchanging our experiences and expressions and we had very good relations with Japan and photo journalists of Japan should project soft image of Pakistan through their cameras”.
He added that there should be regular pictorial exhibition of Japanese culture in Pakistan and it would help us to understand Japanese culture more and more.
Haider said that there were many opportunities in energy sector in Pakistan.
While briefing on rehabilitation works in Sindh regarding recent floods, he informed the delegation that flood affected people were lodged in 4,000 camps and restoration and rehabilitation work was a great challenge to the government.
Haider further said that basic necessities of life were being provided to the flood affected people and that construction work was in progress to build the houses and the farmers were provided seeds free of cost. He presented traditional ‘Ajrak’ to the members of the Japanese delegation.
