ISLAMABAD – Dismissing unnecessary speculations, the Foreign Office spokesperson has said that the recent press items pertaining to Pakistan’s nuclear programme, do not deserve a serious comment as they fit a familiar pattern of motivated campaigns which surface from time to time.

As a responsible nuclear weapon state, Pakistan is mindful of its responsibilities both in the context of regional stability and of an equitable and non-discriminatory approach to achieve the goals of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
