ISLAMABAD- The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is allowing registered internet service providers (ISPs) to set up cyber cafes and Internet clubs without any licence, the PTA sources said. They said it was a part of the plan to promote information technology.
It has granted 110 licences for Internet and e-mail services with the help of private sector. According to new rules approved by the PTA, cyber cafes, Internet clubs, Internet parlours, Info canteens and the info PCOs will not need any licence.
