PESHAWAR (APP): The Biennial Delegates Meeting (BDM) of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ), which ended here the other day, has demanded of PIA authorities to remove hurdles from issuance of travelling discount cards to journalists.

In a Press statement here on Tuesday, the PIA authorities were asked by the members of PFUJ to issue discount cards to genuine journalists.

The BDM of PFUJ also requested the top brass of PIA not to cease the facility and if they have any grievances they should convey them for redressal.

Meanwhile, the meeting through another resolution constituted an action committee which would ensure accomplishment of pledges made by Mir Shakeel ur Rehman with the administration of Jang Group of Publications.

In this connection, the committee will ask Mir Shakeel ur Rehman to withdraw his intra-court appeal filed against the Sixth Wage Board Award and to regularise the service of all employees working with them on contract basis.
