KARACHI: Police booked a man and his parents on Wednesday for allegedly murdering his wife on Tuesday night in Artillery Ground police precincts.
As per 30-year-old victim Noreen’s father Sarfaraz, his daughter’s husband Dildar, father-in-law Mumtaz and mother-in-law Shafai had tortured her to death. “Dildar is my nephew who often beat up my daughter,” added Sarfaraz. However, Mumtaz said Noreen had been ill and was under treatment at a hospital. Quoting MLO Dr Farida, investigation officer Abdul Malik said Noreen had several torture marks on her body. Police have registered FIR No 228/10 and initiated further investigation.
