KARACHI- Preparations are in progress for regional awards distribution for outstanding performance of Radio Pakistan staff belonging to Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur and Larkana stations at a ceremony on January 6, 2001, in Karachi.

These awards were introduced last year with the efforts of the Chairman Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), Syed Anwar Mahmood. Preparations for the ceremony were reviewed at a meeting, chaired by Director General Radio, Saleem Gul Shaikh, and attended by director programmes and station directors of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and other officials.
