Senior journalist Salahuddin Ahmed laid to rest in Peshawar

On December 23, prominent journalist, columnist, and analyst Salahuddin Ahmed passed away. His funeral prayers were offered the following day at the Cantonment Graveyard near Army Public School on Warsak Road in Peshawar.

Salahuddin Ahmed was a senior figure in Pakistani journalism. He served as the founder chairman of the Peshawar Press Club, founder president of the Khyber Union of Journalists, and former president of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists. He also served as Resident Editor of Daily Mashriq.

He was the eldest son of the late Muhammad Ehsan Talib, who was a journalist, columnist, writer, and poet.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi expressed grief over the passing of Salahuddin Ahmed. In a message, the governor stated that the late journalist rendered long and distinguished services to the field of journalism and that his professional contributions would be remembered.

The governor described the death as a loss for the journalistic community and extended condolences to the bereaved family, particularly to his sons, Hussain Salahuddin (Advocate) and Mansoor Salahuddin. He also offered prayers for patience for the family and for the departed soul.
