The Sindh government has officially announced the creation of the Films and Drama Production Board, aimed at bolstering support for professionals in the entertainment sector. The announcement was made through a press release following a meeting led by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.
The board’s formation was greenlit by the Sindh Information Department after receiving the nod from the cabinet. It is designed to facilitate film and drama production and those involved in the sector, said Memon.
Minister Memon emphasized that the government wants to highlight the history and culture of Sindh; adding that this board would play a key role in promoting representation and talent.
The meeting was attended by Information Secretary Nadeemur Rehman Memon, Director of Advertisement Muhammad Yusuf Kaburu, Sarang Latif Chandio, and other officials.
