
On June 12, Sindh Governor Syed Mohammad Nehal Hashmi expressed profound sorrow over the demise of senior journalist Syed Sabir Ali. The Governor’s office released a statement extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and recognising the late journalist’s valuable contributions to journalism and society.
Syed Sabir Ali, who had a distinguished career as a chief reporter for a local newspaper, passed away following a prolonged illness. His funeral prayers were held at Alfalah Mosque in Block 2 of PECHS, followed by burial at the local cemetery. A large number of people from various walks of life, including political, social, and religious leaders, as well as journalists and relatives, attended the services.
In his statement, Governor Hashmi highlighted the professional dedication of the deceased and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in paradise. He also affirmed his solidarity with the grieving family during this difficult time.
