DADU: Relatives of slain journalist Ghulam Rasool Birhamani and political activists staged a rally in Wahi Pandhi on Saturday to express no confidence in police investigation.

The deceased newsman’s cousin Shah Mohammad Birhamani said although the police had arrested two of the five accused, Akbar and Aziz Lashari, they had failed to lay hands on the three others.

He accused the police of not investigating the case properly and alleged that influential persons were involved in the murder hence police were not making efforts to arrest all the accused.

He expressed no confidence in the police investigation and demanded a thorough inquiry by honest officials of crime branch of police.
