LAHORE: Two teenage brothers in Iqbal Town allegedly gang-raped a 20-year-old housemaid for five months, making her pregnant, while the family forcibly detained the victim in their house to hide the crime.

The matter came to light after the maid fled the house and told her family in Chiniot about her condition. The victim, S, daughter of Sajida Bibi of Chiniot, was employed in the house of Muhammad Bashir at 36-Badar Block, Iqbal Town, some eight months back.

After one month of her employment, Bashir’s sons Kamran, 16, and Naeem, 17, started raping her and continued committing the crime for the next five months. The victim’s mother told police that whenever she tried to meet her daughter, the accused family issued her threats and sent her back to Chiniot after paying her daughter’s salary. Two days back, the victim succeeded in fleeing the house .

Iqbal Town Police have registered a case (No 607/10) under Section 376 against the two brothers on the complaint of the victimÂ’s mother with no arrest so far because the accused family had fled from the house before the police raid.
