The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone warned against fake social media pages and accounts impersonating the agency and using its name and logo without authorisation.
An official said on October 4 that certain individuals were operating unauthorised pages impersonating the FIA Islamabad Zone. Strict legal action would be taken against those creating fake accounts, spreading misinformation or unlawfully using the agency’s identity.
The FIA urged the public to rely only on its verified Facebook page, “FIA Islamabad Zone ICT,” for official press releases and announcements and to report suspicious accounts claiming to represent the agency.
