The Islamabad High Court (IHC) inaugurated a new Media Centre on September 30 to facilitate journalists covering court proceedings and support access to information.
Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, who inaugurated the centre, emphasised the importance of an independent media in a democratic society. “I congratulate our friends in the media,” he said, adding, “We are inaugurating the High Court Media Centre today for a free media.” He further said, “Whether you criticise or praise us, you are free.”
Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas and other judicial and legal officials attended the ceremony, along with members of the Islamabad High Court Journalists Association.
