Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi emphasised the necessity of free, responsible, and positive journalism for the development and stability of society. During a meeting at the Governor House on June 10, he acknowledged the media’s pivotal role in enhancing public awareness, fostering national consciousness, and promoting unity.

The meeting was attended by directors and representatives from various media organisations, including Director ABM News Syed Turab Shah, Director Pakistan Today Mudassar Alam, Zahid Karani of Daily The AZB, and Sakeena Zafar of Asayish News. The participants engaged in detailed discussions on promoting journalism, responsible reporting, and national issues. During the meeting, the delegation congratulated Governor Sindh on successfully completing his Hajj pilgrimage.

Governor Hashmi reiterated that the media serves as a strong bridge between the state and the public and acts as an effective means of communication and trust-building. He expressed his appreciation for the journalistic community’s services, acknowledging their valuable role in society.
