PESHAWAR: The journalist community here on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against the killing of the tribal journalist Nasrullah, who was martyred in an explosion in Peshawar on Tuesday night.

The protest demo was staged after the funeral prayers of the deceased journalist. The angry journalists were chanting slogans against the targeting of the journalists and demanded provision of protection to them. The protesters said that compenssation should be paid to the heirs of Nasrullah under the Martyrs Package. They further demanded that the government look after the children of the deceased journalist. The Khyber Union of Journalists has also announced a protest demo against the incident today (Thursday).
