Son of senior journalist Shakir Solangi passes away

Sheeraz Shakir Solangi, the 23-year-old son of journalist Shakir Solangi, died of cardiac arrest on August 3, days after returning from China, where he had completed his graduation.

According to reports, he complained of chest pain on the night of August 2 and received treatment at a local health facility. Although he was discharged, he did not regain consciousness the following morning and was pronounced dead after being rushed to a hospital.

Funeral prayers were held in Islamabad before his body was taken to his hometown of Khairpur for burial. The funeral was attended by journalists, media representatives, and political leaders.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, PPP spokesperson Shazia Marri, and Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry expressed condolences, offering prayers for the deceased and his family.
