KARACHI: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Ms Sharmila Farooqui has called for joint struggle against atrocities on women and girls.
She hailed the heirs of victim girls for fighting with courage the rape cases of their girls and women. It should also be our responsibility to support victim persons in the society, she said while addressing a ceremony organized by the War Against Rape (WAR) at Sindh High Court.
Sharmila said we would have to make joint efforts against atrocities being committed on women, adding the government is ready to offer every possible cooperation in this regard.
“It is foremost priority of the PPP government to provide justice to people at their door steps. Redressing the grievances of downtrodden and helpless people is also the manifesto of the government,” she said.
Sharmila said that it is the need of hour that the parliament makes such legislations that could bring into its net the elements committing atrocities on women and girls.
