Mobile phone signal and data services were suspended in Quetta and several other parts of Balochistan on the afternoon of August 9. As per media reports, citing sources in the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, as of August 11, the services remained suspended.

While mobile signals were partially restored in some areas, internet access remained unavailable, disrupting communication and daily activities.

The disruption coincided with the closure of all commercial banks and financial institutions in Nushki since August 5. The closures are expected to continue until the end of August, leaving government employees, pensioners, students and businesses unable to access salaries, pensions and other financial services.
