Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser to the Governor on Information and Public Relations Samar Haroon Bilour on October 23 urged the media to highlight positive initiatives while continuing to report public concerns responsibly and objectively, emphasising the role of fact-based journalism in promoting accountability and ensuring that citizens’ voices are heard.

Addressing a press conference at Governor House in Peshawar, in the presence of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Bilour said responsible journalism was essential to informing the public and ensuring that their concerns were represented effectively.

She urged media organisations to report on public issues. She stressed the need for better coordination among relevant departments and the timely restoration of affected roads.

Bilour also highlighted discussions held during a high-level meeting at Governor House, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and senior military leadership, regarding Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s law and order situation, development priorities and public concerns.

She said the federal government had assured the province of additional financial resources and support, while emphasising the importance of monitoring development projects to ensure timely completion and tangible benefits for the public.
